Spawned from an idea by Ryan Ritchie and Tamil Rogeon of True Live. The RAah Project stands out immediately as the most credible alternative to the European sound of Cinematic Orchestra , Matthew Herbert Big Band or the eccentric dub of Fat Freddy’s Drop from New Zealand. Recorded with the support of over 40 musicians including the Australian Show Big Band with strings, this work boasts the presence of the best musicians in the vibrant music scene of Melbourne. “Score” represents a work of music consistent as well as innovative: the humus is classical music and movies’ soundtracks; yet the overall mood is an elegant mix of big band orchestrations, simple pop melodies, moderate contributions of electronic music, hip-hop rhythms, and soul sensitivity ultimately matched by a surprising vocal as well as composing ability.
