20-year-old Henry Laufer is the SF-by-LA producer known to an ever-increasing audience as Shlohmo, whose sounds ands styles are the latest to emerge from the spaced out beat scene centred on DJ Nobody’s renowned Low End Theory club. This extra-limited (only 300!) 7-inch plucks two tracks from Shlohmo’s just-released download-only ‘Camping’ EP. On ‘Sippy Cup’, our man’s selection of found sounds rub up against the technology of 8-bit blap and subwoofer stress tests, while ‘Post Atmosphere’ gets the remix rub from hotly tipped LA music maker Baths.
