At this time in his career, Randy Weston had spent 6 years in North Africa. Hence this is a mix of post-bebop jazz piano and African influenced rhythms and improvisations. A tribute is played to Duke Ellington who had died a few months previously. Recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival 5th July, 1974.
