Kosma – 12 No.5 Of 5
Its the Jazzanova sound we know of old….
The long awaited fifth and final part of the Kosma 12″ series has arrived. If you still have the box set from all those years ago, then it is time to be part of an exclusive and very rare membership of the Kosma fellowship. Somehow the unexpected wow of Jazzanova, the DJ and producer collective he is also part of, came in-between. We are happy though this is the lead out to the new and much anticipated second album ‘New Aspects!’ Heliocentric is an epic groove co produced by Alex Barck (Jazzanova) and digs deep into Detroit tech house territory. Fabulously phat and phunky and full bodied, this groove just entrances the feet with its amazing bounce and boogie. Big strings, warm pads and a classy touch of spiritualism all add up to this being a success in your DJ box. Small swinging Istanbul is Roskow (Kosma) venturing into other domains and sounds. A broken boogie bazaar, a musical market place and assemblage of ethnological and world sounds, cleverly exposed with Kosma’s trademark cinematic style and tension filled programming skills. Dance music with the division of humankind, with races and with their origins and distinctive characteristics set. Big 12″, enjoy.
