Finally, the unreleased demos by one of the most influential producers of all time.

Charles Stepney, the man (along with Richard Evans and Esmond Edwards, of course) who gave the world that “Chicago” sound.

Lorez Alexandria, Eddie Harris, Terry Callier, Johnny Pate, Ramesy Lewis, Minnie Ripperton/ Rotary Connection, Ray Bryant, Kenny Burrell,  Muddy Waters, Marlena Shaw, Little Milton The Dells and many more benefited from the maestro’s golden touch including;  he was arranger, producer and composer on 4 of the Earth, Wind and Fire albums.

The late Dr. Stepney’s 3 lovely daughters have been promising us for more than 10 years now that they will do something with their father’s demos, recorded in his home studio.

Some of these beats are so sick, they are more Madlib than Madlib and… all recorded between 1960-1976. Madness!
