Clark Terry – Introducing Clark Terry
£40.00
Clark Terry’s seminal debut as leader from 1955.
Features an early example of a jazz 4/4 holy grail stomper, the legendary “Swahili”, reminiscent of Farmer’s equally stomping “Mau Mau” (1956), coincidentally both written by a certain young Quincy Jones.
Rare orange label UK mono from 1957.
Very light crackles in some of the quieter sections.
All in all a good starter copy.
