Moodymann – Don’t Be Misled

Though outspoken Detroit producer Moodymann might find it “misleading” to have suburban kids listen to this record, his peculiar blend of soul -a detroit invention- house music and techno is so appealing that it should catch the attention of the “blacks, the whites, crippled and yellows”. A-side is a piano-driven House Inferno deep and funky at the same time. Though it would be vulgar to talk of a floor filler -the kick is not of the average disco-ey kind and the mood is deep, black and nearly tribal rather than anthem like- it certainly is the bomb!
