The first sentence of the liner notes simply state that ‘Jaki Byard is an amazing musician’. That he certainly is given that he plays the piano, tenor sax, vibes, drums & Celeste here! Boarding on spiritual/ avant-garde territory this record is somewhat of a departure for Prestige. Nevertheless, need we say it’s definitely killer!
