Gino Soccio – Closer
£15.00
During the twilight years of disco, “House Music” had not quite come of age, this badman from Canada dropped his 3rd album that was seriously big (all for the one anthemic tune).
It’s always been about the stone-cold dancefloor killer ‘Try It Out‘ inspired by the Chic (Rodgers and Edwards) and Change (Petrus, Malavasi and Romani) (who were also releasing on Atlantic). On ‘Hold Tight’ he cheekily copies the horn riff from Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway’s ‘Back Together Again’ (also on Atlantic).
Vinyl is unplayed.
Sleeve has small tear mark where the label was removed (top right).
