Dave Grusin – Mountain Dance

If Rudy Van Gelder and Creed Taylor are amongst most inspired producers and engineers ever in straight up Jazz, in fusion the arrangers  by far have to be Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen. Between them they worked on every T.V/ Film score  (including ‘Mountain Dance’ which was later used as the theme for St. Elsewhere featuring the now very famous Denzel Washington)and produced albums for eveyone and their mother during the 80’s.This is his seminal album of that period.
