Louie Vega Presents Luisito Quintero – Percussion Maddness

“I met Luisito through India about 11 years ago. He was her musical director. I eventually used his talents on the Nuyorican Soul live tour as musical director for some shows and on some MAW remixes (along with my partner Kenny Dope). We eventually developed a musical relationship, he really had a tasteful way of playing percussion and could play many percussion intruments and well. This led to him being a part of the EOL recordings and live performances, he became an intrical member of the Elements Of Life Band. I’ve always had the idea of recording an album based on Luisito Quintero as a lead percussionist. With the blessing of Tito Puente (who respected Luisito as a musician) I told Luisito that one day I would want to record an album with him. And so be it!’’
