Paul Anka – Rock Swings

The man that arranged ‘My Way’ for Frank Sinatra and along with Tony Bennett the last of the ratpacker crooners still alive and kicking it. This year marks Paul Anka’s 47th Anniversary in show business, which he celebrates with the release of “Rock Swings.”  It is a concept that takes rock-pop hits from the 80’s and adds a swing arrangement to give them a completely different, and fresh new sound. The key to this is that the songs chosen are brilliant songs to start with. The version of ‘Wonderwall’ is totally of da hook and would easily get top 5 if they had the foresight to release it as a single. There is not one bad cover and has to be amongst the best LP’s of 2005.This will be one of the biggest selling album for Christmas 05, no doubt!!!.
