Having just said that you then have your preconceptions shredded with the squawking, preacher rock of A-side ‘Sad As A Truck’. Without a sniff of folk in sight Mugison cobbles together a staccato hearted rhythmic beast that sounds not dissimilar to the his’n’hers stylings of The Kills, replete with Falsetto and shotgun pace. In absolute contrast is the soft-centered acoustic duet of ‘2 Birds’, with Mugison spinning a delicate melody that’ll bring to mind Adem’s recent releases.
