Sex Pistols – Spunk
£100.00
Malcolm Mclaren’s own bootleg of “Never Mind….” rush released (10 days?) ahead of Virgin’s official release.
Notably: the mastering is completely different from the Virgin press (less bass) and, ‘God Save The Queen’ is titled ‘The Future’
They came in plain white sleeves and/or hand stencilled sleeves which were executed by the label and the underground shops (only indie shops were allowed to have this version i.e. shops in Kens. Market/ World’s End/ Camden Lock/ Soho etc. etc.)
Crazily rare 1st press with the Matrix / Runout (A side, etched): LYN 4732-111 BLA – 169 – A MAX Matrix / Runout (B side, etched): LYN 4733-111 BLA – 169 – B MAX
Side 1 plays VG++ (NM). Side 2: B1 has a visible white skate mark that becomes audible from about the 2nd minute as a small click (does not affect play) otherwise plays VG+
