Scribble records third release moves away from previous sample based productions with this next EP from the multi-talented musical nomad “Ishfaq”. His debut EP is a blend of broken soul, Nu-jazz and hip-hop.
Featuring the sensuous vocal talents of Adi Dick, Kissy Asplund and The Chef, this record oozes soul appeal. ‘Change’ is a modern Stevie type affair, while ‘Call the boss’ introduces The Chef’s raw rhymes with catchy hooks from Kissy. ‘Clap that’ brings us into jazz territory with its meandering flutes and punchy Rhodes business. While ‘Acuzion’ on the other hand is a spaced out nu-carnival banger. All instruments played by the one man band that is ‘Ishfaq’.
