The legendary sextet recording: Mal Waldron, Piano, Ron Carter on Cello, Eric Dolphy on alto, Booker Ervin on Tenor, Charlie Persip, drums and Joe Benjamin on bass.
OG mono, deep groove, purple/ silver label, Van Gelder deadwax stamp.
Vinyl is crackly in parts, plays vg+(more noticeable in quiter passages i.e. “Warm Canto”).
Sleeve is solid but split along the top (9cm) and shows age.
NB- This is the perfect starter for anyone just getting into the madness of the world of the OG mono collector!
