Making full use of respected session drummer Hamish Balfour and underground NY rap legend Substantial, “Dance” showcases the enviable depth Coolhurst achieves so well. Reminiscent of an early Capitol A in a Sylk 130 cut, the live drums and smooth rhymes add to the soul of the flawless production that makes Coolhurst what it is.
Focussing on the deep-house and Latin- roots of the project, “Sam’s Revenge” is a production-beat based groove monster, that brings around one of the most memorable and unique horn parts of all time! Coupled with incredible layering and arrangement from Kid Circus, this is a return to the essence of Coolhurst smacked up to an unprecedented level.
