‘Heartbreak Hotel’ is an almost forgotten gem that was originally released in 1980 as ‘This Place Hotel’, With Sasso putting his brazilian influences to one side he lets the groove loose and turns this into a modern day boogie masterpiece with a sweeping string-swept intro that had us hooked from the off.

We all know that ‘We Live in Brooklyn Baby’ is one of Roy Ayers most atmospheric and attitude-packed tracks, here Sasso has dubbed it out and toughened things up, ripping the original Harry Whitaker arrangement to pieces and leaving us with a synth-led, bass heavy edit that is sure to win any dancefloor over.
